Statement:  Ten years ago I began making art fo the floor by converting a few paintings into floor cloths. Experience and experimentation have produced work that is durable and flexible under foot. And yet there are those who prefer hanging my pieces on the wall. Placemats are another off-spring of my endeavors. I continue, as any artist must, to try new approaches. I have found it interesting to produce work to order -- kitchen floors, splash backs, and such. Size, shape, and color harmonies are a welcomed challenge.
